A woman comes home and told her husband

A woman came home one afternoon and excitedly told her husband, “Remember those terrible headaches I’ve been complaining about for years? Well, they’re finally gone!”

Her husband looked surprised. “Really? How did that happen?”

“My friend Margie recommended a hypnotist,” she explained.

“He told me to stand in front of a mirror, look at myself, and repeat three times, ‘I do not have a headache.’ And believe it or not, it worked!”

“That’s wonderful, darling!” her husband replied.

Then she added, “You know, things haven’t been quite as exciting in the bedroom lately, either. Why don’t you visit the hypnotist and see if he can help you?”

Her husband agreed, and after his appointment, he returned home looking unusually confident.

Without saying a word, he swept his wife into his arms and carried her into the bedroom.

“Wait right here,” he whispered. “I’ll be back in a moment.”

He disappeared into the bathroom, returned a few minutes later, and surprised her with the most romantic evening they’d had in years.

His wife smiled happily. “That was absolutely wonderful!”

“Just a moment, sweetheart,” he said. “I’ll be right back!”

Curious, she quietly followed him to the bathroom and peeked through the partly open door.

There he stood in front of the mirror, repeating his hypnotist’s instructions with complete concentration:

“She’s not my wife! She’s not my wife! She’s not my wife!”

The wife folded her arms and waited for him to finish.

When he finally turned around and saw her standing in the doorway, his confident smile vanished.

Apparently, the hypnotist had improved his confidence but forgotten to mention the importance of remembering who you’re married to!
