A dad and his son were watching tv

One chilly evening, a father and his young son were sitting downstairs, relaxing together and watching television.

After a while, the father began complaining that his feet were getting cold. Rather than getting up himself, he turned to his son and asked him to go upstairs and fetch his slippers.

The boy headed upstairs without hesitation. When he reached his sister’s bedroom, however, he discovered two of her friends sitting comfortably on her bed, chatting and enjoying their evening.

Seeing an opportunity to have a little fun, the boy walked into the room and announced confidently, “My dad sent me up here to sleep with both of you!”

The two girls immediately looked at him with suspicion.

“Oh, no, he didn’t!” one of them replied. “You’re just making that up to impress us!”

The boy shook his head, pretending to be offended that they didn’t believe him.

“He absolutely did,” he insisted. “And I can prove it!”

He turned toward the staircase, took a deep breath, and shouted loudly enough for his father to hear him downstairs.

Son: “DAD! YOU DID SAY BOTH OF THEM, DIDN’T YOU?”

From the living room, his father immediately shouted back:

Dad: “OF COURSE I DID! WHAT’S THE POINT IN HAVING ONE?”
