The phone rings at the local police station

One afternoon, someone called the local police station with an unusual complaint.

“Hello, officer. I’d like to report my neighbor, Craig. I’m pretty sure he’s hiding marijuana inside his firewood!”

“Thank you for letting us know,” the officer replied. “We’ll look into it.”

The following day, several police officers arrived at Craig’s property and headed straight for his woodshed.

They searched everywhere, splitting open one log after another with their axes. Unfortunately, they didn’t find a single trace of marijuana.

Frustrated by the wasted effort, the officers packed up their tools, muttered a few complaints, and left.

A little later, Craig’s phone rang.

“Hey, Craig! Did the police show up?” Eric asked.

“They certainly did,” Craig answered.

“And did they chop up your firewood?”

“Every last piece, Eric. Thanks for asking!”

Eric laughed and said, “Excellent! Now it’s your turn to return the favor. Give me a call when you’re ready I need my garden plowed!”

Sometimes, the best revenge is getting someone else to do your hard work for free!
