The pre christmas pressure

When four of Santa’s top workshop elves called in sick with the winter flu, the inexperienced apprentice elves couldn’t craft toys half as fast.

Production fell dangerously behind, and Santa began to feel the intense, overwhelming Pre-Christmas pressure mounting by the minute.

To make matters even more chaotic, Mrs. Claus casually announced over breakfast that her mother was arriving for an unexpected, two-week holiday stay.

The mere thought of entertaining his mother-in-law pushed Santa’s stress levels straight through the snowy roof.

Feeling thoroughly overwhelmed, Santa stomped out to the barn to harness the team, only to find three of his star reindeer were going into unexpected labor, and two others had cleared the high wooden fence and vanished into the foggy wilderness.

Defeated, he attempted to start loading the wooden sleigh, but a rotting floorboard suddenly snapped in half under the weight.

The heavy sack of presents crashed through the bottom, tearing wide open and scattering hundreds of handcrafted toys across the muddy yard.

Thoroughly exasperated and completely out of patience, Santa retreated back inside the cozy kitchen, desperate for a warm mug of spiced apple juice and a splash of holiday cheer. But when he yanked open the pantry door, he discovered the naughty apprentices had guzzled every last drop of juice and tucked away his favorite cabinet treats where he couldn’t find them.

In his sheer agitation, his hand slipped, knocking the heavy glass jug onto the stone floor, where it shattered into a million tiny, glistening shards.

He hastily grabbed the kitchen broom to sweep up the sharp mess, only to realize the mischievous barn mice had chewed off every single piece of straw, leaving him holding a useless wooden stick.

Just as he stared at the bare broom handle in complete dismay, the front doorbell chimed loudly.

An utterly annoyed Santa marched down the hallway, threw the door wide open with a groan, and found a tiny, glowing angel standing on the porch holding a massive, bushy pine tree.
