Three high ranking axis officers

During World War II, three high-ranking officers from the Axis powers found themselves in the same holding cell, waiting to be questioned.

A German officer confidently declared, “They won’t get anything out of me. I have complete confidence in my training.”

A Japanese officer nodded.

“I will remain loyal and disciplined. Nothing will make me give away information.”

The Italian officer looked nervous.

“I think I’m in trouble,” he whispered.

The German laughed.

“Have some confidence!”

Soon, the German was taken away for questioning.

Several hours later, he returned looking exhausted.

“They asked every question imaginable,” he said. “Eventually, I had nothing left to say.”

Next, the Japanese officer was taken away.

He returned much later, equally exhausted.

“They were very persistent,” he admitted. “I refused to give them anything.”

Finally, it was the Italian officer’s turn.

He was taken into another room.

An hour passed.

Then two hours.

Then an entire day.

The German and Japanese officers were amazed.

“He must be incredibly strong,” the German said.

“Perhaps his determination is greater than ours,” said the Japanese officer.

After several days, the Italian was finally brought back.

The other two stared at him in disbelief.

“How did you manage to stay silent for so long?” they asked.

The Italian sighed.

“I tried to tell them everything immediately!”

The others looked confused.

“Then why didn’t you?”

The Italian raised his hands helplessly.

“Because those idiots tied my hands behind my back… and I couldn’t explain anything!”

The German and Japanese officer stared at each other.

The Italian shrugged.

“Sometimes the best interrogation technique is simply making sure the prisoner can’t communicate!”
