The Preacher and the Perfect Golf Shot

There was a preacher who absolutely loved golf.

Whenever he had free time, you could usually find him on the golf course.

One beautiful Sunday morning, the weather was perfect for a round of golf.

The preacher struggled with his decision for a while, but eventually his love of golf won.

He called his assistant and said he wasn’t feeling well and wouldn’t be able to hold the service.

Then he drove to a golf course several hours away, hoping nobody would recognize him.

Meanwhile, an angel was watching from above.

The angel turned to God and said, “He should be punished for skipping church to play golf!”

God simply smiled.

The preacher stepped up to the first tee, took a swing, and watched the ball fly straight toward the hole.

Hole-in-one!

The ball had traveled an incredible 350 yards and dropped perfectly into the cup.

The preacher couldn’t believe his eyes. He jumped with excitement.

The angel looked at God in confusion.

“I thought you were going to punish him?”

God smiled and said:

“I did. Who is he going to tell?” 😄
