Four friends were sitting together at a cafe
Four friends were sitting together at a cafe, enjoying coffee and chatting about their children.
The conversation soon turned into a friendly competition about whose son had achieved the most impressive career.
The first woman smiled proudly.
“My son is a priest,” she said. “Whenever he walks into a room, people respectfully call him ‘Father.’”
The second woman nodded.
“That’s wonderful, but my son is a bishop. Whenever he enters a room, people greet him by saying, ‘Your Grace.’”
The third woman sat up a little straighter.
“Well, my son is a cardinal. Whenever he walks into a room, people say, ‘Your Eminence.’”
The first three women turned toward the fourth friend.
She had been quietly sipping her coffee and hadn’t said a word.
“Well?” one of them asked. “What about your son?”
The fourth woman smiled mysteriously.
“Oh, my son has a very different career.”
The other three leaned closer.
“He’s incredibly handsome, tall, and works as a professional entertainer. Whenever he walks into a room, people are so surprised by his appearance that they immediately say…”
She paused dramatically.
The other women waited.
The mother took another sip of coffee and delivered:
“My God!”
The table went completely silent for a second.
Then all four women burst out laughing.
The fourth mother smiled proudly.
“I may not have the fanciest title in the family,” she said, “but apparently my son has the most memorable introduction!”
