Jesus and Moses are relaxing on a boat
Jesus and Moses are relaxing together on a boat, reminiscing about the good old days.
As they chat, the conversation eventually turns to the miracles they once performed, and they decide to see whether they can still do them.
“It’s been nearly 4,000 years since I last performed this miracle,”
Moses says. He stands up, raises his arms, and suddenly the water parts, revealing the bottom of the lake.
Jesus claps His hands and says, “Very impressive! It’s been about 2,000 years since I last tried one of mine.”
He steps confidently off the boat and onto the water but immediately sinks beneath the surface!
Moses parts the water again, throws down a rope, and helps the soaking-wet Jesus climb back aboard.
“That was embarrassing,” Jesus says. “I suppose I need to clear my mind and concentrate.”
He closes His eyes, takes a long, deep breath, and steps off the boat once more.
Once again, He sinks straight to the bottom of the lake.
Moses parts the water and pulls Him back onto the boat.
“Perhaps we should head back,” Moses suggests. “You can always try again tomorrow.”
But Jesus shakes His head. “No, I know I can do this!”
He whispers a silent prayer, glances toward the sky, and takes another determined step off the boat.
Splash! Down He goes again.
Moses parts the water for the third time and helps Him back aboard.
Jesus looks a little shaken and stares thoughtfully at His feet.
Suddenly, His expression brightens with realization.
“I finally understand what went wrong!” He exclaims.
“Last time, I didn’t have these holes in my feet!”
