Little Johnny was sitting on a park bench, enjoying a cigarette, when a woman walking past stopped to speak to him.
“Excuse me, young man,” she said politely, “but you should know that smoking can take years off your life!”
Johnny looked up at her and replied calmly, “No disrespect, ma’am, but my grandfather lived to the grand old age of 104.”
The woman raised her eyebrows in surprise. “Really? Did he smoke cigarettes, too?”
Johnny shook his head and answered without hesitation, “No, ma’am. He minded his own business!”
The woman stood there speechless for a moment, realizing that Johnny had found a cheeky way to turn her unsolicited advice right back on her.
