A police officer pulled over a man

A police officer pulled over a man riding a Harley-Davidson for speeding.

After asking for his name, the officer heard the biker reply, “Fred.”

“Fred what?” the officer asked.

“Just Fred,” the man said.

Feeling generous, the officer considered giving him a warning instead of a ticket.

But first, he wanted to know the biker’s last name.

“I used to have one,” Fred explained, “but I lost it.”

The officer was curious. “All right, Fred. How on earth did you lose your last name?”

“It’s a long story, so bear with me. I was born Fred Johnson and studied hard until I became a doctor. After medical school, internships, and residency, I earned my degree and became Fred Johnson, MD.

Eventually, I grew tired of medicine and returned to school to study dentistry. Once I graduated, I became Fred Johnson, MD, DDS.

Later, I got involved with my assistant and caught VD. The dental association discovered what happened and took away my DDS.

Then the medical association learned about the scandal and revoked my MD.

So there I was, Fred Johnson with VD. And then the VD took away my Johnson!

That’s how I ended up being just Fred!”

The officer walked away with tears streaming down his face not from sadness, but from laughing so hard he could barely stand.
