The texas farmer and the australian farmer

A proud Texas farmer decided to take a vacation in Australia.

While exploring the countryside, he met an Australian farmer, and the two began chatting about their farms.

The Australian farmer proudly pointed toward a huge wheat field.

“Pretty impressive, isn’t it?” he said.

The Texan glanced across the field and shrugged.

“That’s nice, but back home in Texas, we have wheat fields at least twice that size!”

The Australian smiled politely and led him toward a nearby pasture.

“Then you might appreciate my cattle. Take a look at that herd!”

The Texan examined the cows and immediately shook his head.

“Not bad, partner, but our Texas longhorns are at least twice as big!”

The Australian farmer simply nodded, deciding there was little point in arguing with someone who measured everything by size.

They continued walking in silence until a group of kangaroos suddenly hopped across the open field.

The Texan stopped in amazement.

“What in the world are those strange animals?”

The Australian farmer stared at him in disbelief.

“You mean to tell me you’ve never seen kangaroos before?”

“Nope!” the Texan replied.

“We don’t have anything like those back home!”

The Australian looked at the kangaroos, then back at his visitor.

With a perfectly straight face, he asked:

“Really? And you mean to tell me Texas doesn’t have grasshoppers that big?”

The Texan stood there speechless for once.

For the first time that afternoon, the Australian farmer had found something in Texas that was apparently not bigger!

And he enjoyed every second of it.
