The Bank Robbing Couple

Jeff and his girlfriend, Jenny, once decided to become bank robbers.

Jenny handled the dramatic part inside the banks, while Jeff waited outside as the getaway driver.

Surprisingly, they were pretty successful.

After several robberies, they even became notorious celebrities in the news.

But eventually, their luck ran out.

They were caught and sent to court.

The judge sentenced Jenny to ten years in prison and Jeff to two.

However, when they arrived at prison, they discovered a ridiculous clerical error: their sentences had accidentally been switched.

Jeff was facing ten years, while Jenny would be released after only two.

Jenny immediately wanted to report the mistake, but Jeff stopped her.

“Don’t worry,” he said.

“We’ll get through it.”

And they did.

Jenny was released after two years, but she never abandoned Jeff.

She visited him every month, wrote letters, and called whenever she could.

After Jeff finally completed his ten-year sentence, Jenny was waiting for him.

They got married, moved away, left their criminal past behind, and built a wonderful life together.

They raised children, welcomed grandchildren, and eventually celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by family and friends.

During the celebration, everyone started talking about the secret to their long and happy marriage.

One guest turned to Jenny and asked,

“After everything you went through, what made you stay with Jeff all those years?”

Jenny smiled and said:

“You know you’ve found the right person when you can finish each other’s sentences.”
