Three nuns were involved in a car accident
Three nuns were involved in a car accident and found themselves standing at the gates of Heaven.
Waiting to greet them was the gatekeeper, who smiled kindly and explained, “I know you’ve devoted your lives to faith, but today I’m going to ask each of you a question before allowing you inside.”
He turned to the youngest nun and asked, “Who was the first man on Earth?”
“Adam,” she answered confidently.
Immediately, a heavenly hand appeared and welcomed her through the gates.
Next, he faced the middle-aged nun. “And who was the first woman on Earth?”
“Eve,” she replied without hesitation.
Once again, a hand reached out and guided her into Heaven.
Finally, the gatekeeper turned toward the oldest nun.
“Since you have the most life experience, I’m going to give you a slightly more challenging question.”
She nodded nervously.
“What were Eve’s very first words to Adam?”
The elderly nun paused, thinking carefully. She looked up at the gatekeeper and finally replied:
“Oh, that’s a hard one!”
Without another word, a heavenly hand reached out and welcomed her inside, too.
Apparently, the gates of Heaven had a sense of humor and sometimes, the best answer is the one you give without even realizing it!
